Christmas 2012

We have lots to write about for Christmas in 2012, so I have made different sections so it's easier for you all to read.

Going to see the Christmas lights:
SHAAN's comments
On the 22nd of December, we went to see the Telecom tree. There were lots of different colours on the Telecom tree. When we were getting our Hot Chocolate, I said to Dad "Look at the tree now". "Whoa!" shouted Dad. Then we walked off to see the lights at Franklin Road. The lights were wonderful like a angel. One of the houses on Franklin Road was all over with lights and near the door was a snowman. That house was my favourite. I was so excited we got to see all the lights on the Telecom tree and on houses of Franklin Road.

RANEEL's comments
We went to see the Christmas light's and they changed colour. We went to tell Santa what we wanted for Christmas. We rang him on the Santa line. I saw my friends Jake and Isabelle from my class too. We also saw the Franklin road light's. when we got in the car it was past 10:00.

Making our gingerbread house:

SHAAN's comments
On Christmas Eve, Me, Raneel and Mum made a gingerbread house using a kit on how to make it. We copied the instructions on the kit. Then Me and Raneel decorated the gingerbread house when it already had icing on it. It looked cool when it was super duper finished.

My Last Game for Taylor in 2012

On the 15th of December in 2012, it was my last game for Grafton Taylor. We played the Parnell Chimpanzees at Shore Road in Parnell.

We were bowling first. On my last ball of my first over, I screamed and said "HOWZAT!" and my coach which was Hamish's Dad first but it changed to Lucas's dad gave it out. Then on my first ball of my second over, I got another wicket.

My bowling stats were Overs: 2 Maidens: 0 Runs: 3 Wickets: 2 Economy Rate: 1.50. Then we batted. Luke (who was on a holiday at Australia), was batting with me at the last 2 batsmen. I made 31 runs which was my highest score for 2012. My team which was Team Taylor won 117 to 61. Taylor which was my team won by 56 runs.

I was joint Player of the Day with Thomas. At the end we had a team photo. I was excited because I got Player of the Day twice in 2012.

RANEEL's blog post:

On the 15th of December 2012 it was Shaan's (I call him bhai, which means "brother" in Gujarati) last game of the season. Shaanbhai was joint player of the day with Thomas. Dad gave me some practise with batting and bowling.
