Shaan's 10th Birthday.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been able to update my blog in a long time….but I'm back now!

And guess what - I am 10 years old now!

I was so excited because I had turned double digits. After school, when I came home my Mum was making my birthday cake. Mum and Dad gave me an XBox One for my early birthday present with Forza Motorsport 5 and Kinect Sports Rivals. Raneel and I are also going to use some of our pocket money and birthday/Xmas money from last year to help pay for it as it is a really expensive present!

Then on my birthday, I opened my second present from Mum and Dad and I got a Top Gear book called 'Where's Stig' and a sports book called Shot! Boom! Score! by Justin Brown and two jumpers and two pairs of pyjamas.

Then my grandparents Hu Ba and Dada had came and they gave me jeans, shirt and a t shirt and a $20 note. Then my uncle, Nana and my aunty Nani and my cousins Nyah and Jayna came. Nyah and Jayna were going to have a bath at my house and we had 1 big rubber duck and 3 little rubber ducks that they could play with in the bath. Then G Masi and Mikemasa came and they gave me FIFA 14 on XBox One and we had to let it install by putting the DVD in the console. Then my aunty Beena and my uncle Raju and their children Zaydenbhai and Yashani came. They gave me lots of clothes like a Manhattan jumper and some more clothes and another XBox One game. The game was Angry Birds Star Wars. Kisu Mama also came to see me and he gave me some money for my birthday.
After my delicious chocolate cake (which mum made a Tendulkar Indian #10 cricket shirt for me!), Raneel and I had got to play FIFA 14. FIFA 14 is a soccer game where you can choose any team you like from so many leagues.

Our first game was from the English Premier League. I was Liverpool FC and Raneel was Tottenham Hotspur FC. We had started the game and I had kicked off. The game was great because the only goal was near the end of the game. The final score was 1-0 to Tottenham. The goal was scored by Harry Kane who is a striker from England. Then Mikemasa and Zaydenbhai had played. They chose teams from the International league. Mikemasa was England and Zaydenbhai was Brazil. Brazil had kicked off and the game was the same score and Brazil won. The goal was scored by Neymar Jr who is a legendary Brazilian soccer player.

My 10th Birthday Party:

On July the 6th, I had my birthday party at Newmarket ten-pin bowling. I invited some of my family friends and school friends. My party theme was the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but we played ten-pin bowling instead of soccer. We got split into 4 teams - France, Brazil, Argentina and The Netherlands.

In my team for the 2nd time bowling was Zaydenbhai, Leonardo, Matthew and I. At the end of our second game, we had some awesome scores!

After bowling, we had cake before everybody went home. They were chocolate cupcakes with soccer decorations and I got heaps of presents from my friends and then we went home.

Nee Masi - we are wearing our new pyjamas!

Sorry this post is a little bit late! (Shaan's mum)

On Christmas Day last year, Nee Masi bought Raneel and I new pyjamas. She bought us pyjamas from  soccer teams in England. She bought Raneel Tottenham Hotspur pyjamas and Nee Masi bought me Liverpool Football Club pyjamas.

She bought Tottenham and Liverpool pyjamas because when we watch the English Premier League, those 2 teams were our favourites. When I wore them it was very cool because I have never had pyjamas like the Liverpool and Tottenham pyjamas because we have never had pyjamas like that before.

Thanks Nee Masi, those pyjamas are cool. They are awesome!

Raneel's comments:

Last year Nee Masi bought us Tottenham and Liverpool Pyjamas. I slept on the couch with them on Because I was tired when we were watching the X Factor!

Thanks Nee Masi for the cool pyjamas.

Going to 10 pin bowling at Westgate.

One month ago, we went to 10 pin bowling at Westgate. When we went in, I saw Tom who is my friend when I played cricket with him. From my first 2 rolls, they were 2 strikes. That was a unbelievable feeling by then.

When we were on the last round I was on 96 and I got 9 pins to make a total of 105. "I got past 100, YEAH!'', I said. Everybody did very well. In 4th place was Raneel with 51 pins. In 3rd place was Mum with 53 pins. In 2nd place was Dad with 55 pins. In 1st place and the winner was me with an incredible knock with 105 pins.

After bowling, Raneel, Dad and I played mini golf. Everybody did brilliant. Raneel was in 3rd place with 35 shots and it was a tie from Dad and I with 28 shots. It was really ecstatic because I was the winner in bowling and mini golf.

NZ Breakers make it 3-peat

On April the 7th, we went to Vector Arena to watch the 1st final between the New Zealand Breakers versus Perth Wildcats. It was the last game that Dillon Boucher played at Vector Arena.

We went there by a train, during when we were on the train we saw Raju Kaka, Beena Masi, Zaydenbhai and Yashani. When we got off the train we met them. We were walking with them until they needed to sit on their seats.

From where we were sitting we saw G Masi and Mikemasa too. We could still see Zaydenbhai, Yashani, Raju Kaka and Beena Masi too.

Before the game we had to stand up because some people were doing a Anzac Ceremony for Anzac Day. The score was New Zealand Breakers 79-67 Perth Wildcats. I wasn't that happy because Dillon Boucher and Cedric Jackson got fouled out.

After the game, we had dinner at Yum Cha. Zaydenbhai, Yashani, Raju Kaka and Beena Masi had dinner with us. For dinner I had Deep Fried Squid and Sticky Rice. It was a wonderful time because we had a win for the Breakers.

HERE ARE SOME PICS FROM THE BREAKERS MEET & GREET AT SKY CITY ON 14 APRIL 2013:

On April the 14th we were going to meet & greet the New Zealand Breakers at the Casino at Skycity. At home we were writing signs so the New Zealand Breakers can write their signatures on our signs.
We writed on our signs. I put on my sign: CONGRATULATIONS on your 3-peat BREAKERS! Raneel writed on his sign: GO CEDRIC & THE #1 BREAKERS!

During when we were at the casino, Raneel, Dad and I got some hot chocolate inside the casino. This man was taking a photo of Raneel, Mum, Dad and I, then it was Raneel and I. After that we were standing near the stage and saw the New Zealand Breakers come on the stage. I got some Hi-5's by some of the New Zealand Breakers.

After that Raneel and I got a photo with Cheeky, the cheeky Breakers mascot. We were very lucky boys. We got the signatures and photos with ALL of the Breakers players. Check out the photos below!

I felt very excited about meeting all the players that day. I am going to have to find a good place to hang our signs.

RANEEL's COMMENTS:

On the weekend, we met the Breakers at their Meet the Fans gathering at SkyCity. Some of the Breakers and Andrej (the coach) made speeches. Then the players came into the crowd to meet us. My favourite thing of the day was getting the Breakers players signatures and having a photo with them.
