My Big Surprise!

Mum and Dad today surprised me as an extra birthday present.

When we left home we went to NOSH at Ponsonby because Mum said she had a to do a bit of shopping, and outside was The Food Truck. I thought the Food Truck was cool. Then we went inside and I saw Michael Van De Elzen (who's the Food Truck man) - I was REALLY ecstatic!  I talked to him and he signed a FOOD TRUCK COOKBOOK for us and I had a photo with him. He wrote "Happy Cooking," in the book. I told him "You and Mum make the best sushi."

I really liked my surprise and I'm looking forward to making something out of the Food Truck Cookbook and it was a surprise birthday present.

My 8th Birthday Today!

This morning I woke up at 6:21 in the morning because it was my birthday."Check this house out. Its a soccer museum,'' I said to myself because Mum had put up 12 soccer flags on the wall!

I took a banana cake to school to share with Room 15 which is my class. If some people were allergic to it they couldn't have it - they had a lollipop instead. I had a chocolate soccer cake with the green icing which was the field and there was a Size 1 Liverpool soccer ball on top. We did the cake lots of times!

We had lots of family who came to visit me, and lots of people rang to say Happy Birthday to me. I also got to do my birthday cake on Skype for Trusha Masi, Nee Masi (in London - she was late for work!) and Jiya and Shay. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PHONED/ E-MAILED/TEXTED/SKYPED/VISITED ME FOR MY 8th BIRTHDAY TODAY.

My presents I got were a All Blacks drink bottle, a Liverpool drink bottle, 2 packets of LEGO, soccer ball, Adidas soccer boots and shinpads for 2013, sweatbands, All Blacks poster, the New Zealand Super Rugby teams poster (the people on it are Israel Dagg from the Crusaders, Andrew Hore from the Highlanders, Richard Kahui from the Chiefs, Victor Vito from the Hurricanes and Tony Woodcock from the Blues), money from Pt Chev Ba & Dada, and jeans and shirt from Gee Masi and Mike Masa. Nee Masi also sent a "Happy Birthday from London" hat. She wants all the family who have June birthdays to wear it, and take a photo with it for her.

I have had a COOL 8th birthday!

Making Homemade Sushi

Last week and today we made sushi for lunch. I wanted to make sushi because I saw it on THE FOOD TRUCK and I thought I might like to try something I have never tried before in my life.
I want to practice my things I have to do. Always in our sushi, we sushi vinegar because it makes the sushi nicer. In my sushi, there was sesame seeds, teriyaki chicken and I had soy sauce on top of the sushi. In my brother's sushi there was cucumber, teriyaki chicken, red capsicum and carrot. My mum did the inside out technique with the sesame seeds and the rice in front of the seaweed. The sushi was nice because this is my first time trying it.

Raneel's Art Festival

On Tuesday night, Me, Mum, Dad, Raneel and Sairamasi went to the Local Schools Art Festival at Pasadena Intermediate School for the Art Festival. I saw Holly at the Art Festival. We went there because Raneel was one of two people from his class were picked to show their art work at the Art Festival. Raneel did a picture of a self-portrait of himself. I got 100's and 1000's biscuits and I got a balloon shaped like a lion and Raneel got a yellow wiggly-squiggly balloon. Then we went to Nyah's house and I had a little play with her. Did anyone know this? Nyah can clap her hands and crawl as well now.

Our first weekend of soccer!

My game:
Last night I played soccer at Seddon Fields by the Zoo. It was raining when I played but I was all right. In the first game I scored 4/4 100% goals. In the first game, the score was 4-0 to Western Springs Elliott. In the second game, it was the massive score ever in a soccer match. In the second game, the score was a massive 11-1 for Elliott. I scored 5 out of the 11 goals (45%). We had to wait for the rain to stop for 10 mins. I got 9 goals in total.

Raneel's game:
This morning Raneel played his first game for the Western Springs Stingrays. Raneel got all the goals for his team. The score was 5-4 to Western Springs Stingrays. At the end of Raneel's game, he got a certificate because he was Player of the Day. Raneel scored 5/5 goals for his team (100%). That means this weeks total goals for me and Raneel is a total of 14 goals.

Raneel and I were really happy and Mum and Dad were very proud of us!
