On the 13th of December, me, Raneel, Dad and Kisumama went to Vector Arena to watch the NZ Breakers vs Cairns Taipans. First we went to the supermarket to get some water, roadies and powerade for Dad. And we parked our car at the supermarket and walked to Vector Arena.
Then we sat on our comfortable seats on row JJ on the seats 849 to 846. At halftime, Kisumama bought us hot chips to eat. The final score was NZ Breakers 97-76 Cairns Taipans. We had fun because Breakers won and Cedric Jackson got 32 points.
Going to the Breakers headquarters (HQ):
On the 17th of December, we went to the headquarters. When we were parking our car, I saw Reuben Te Rangi parking his car too. We went inside and me and Raneel got to hold the basketball that Breakers used for the final last season, this year on April the 24th. Then I saw Will Hudson, the tall player inside where we saw the Breakers train at North Shore. Then I asked Will Hudson, "How did you get your eye hurt?""From a person's elbow from another team." said Will Hudson. We had a great time because we got to hold the basketball that the Breakers used in the final!

My Rep Game for Grafton Cricket Club (Year 3)
Two weeks ago, on Sunday, I had my first Rep Game at Devenport Domain. In my Cricket trials, they chose 8 people and I was one of them. My team was Grafton Year 3 Rep Team and the 8 people who were in my team were playing North Shore Cricket Club.
Both teams batted for 16 overs. After each 4 overs another 2 batsmen come on the pitch and bat. After 8 overs the batting team have batted, 2 batsmen from the other team bat. My team which was Grafton Year 3 Rep Team thrashed North Shore by 125 runs! The score was 186 for Grafton Year 3 Rep Team and 61 for North Shore Cricket Club. We got 98 in an innings and after 2 innings North Shore Cricket Club got 61. We should've won by an innings and by 37 runs. I also got Player of the Day - I was very excited about that!
For my bowling stats were Overs: 2 Maidens: 0 Runs: 13 Wickets: 1 Economy Rate: 6.5. My batting was 27 runs and my boundaries were 4 four's. I got 16 runs in boundary. Sam for my team got Outstanding effort for his bowling. His bowling was Overs: 2 Maidens: 0 Runs: 3 Wickets: 4. I felt ecstatic for getting Player of the Day for my Rep Game.

Mum's Birthday!
On Wednesday, it was my Mum's birthday. I woke up at 6:09 in the morning, then we went into Mum and Dad's bed.
After that I woke up at 6:46 in the morning and I had my breakfast and then when my brother finished his toast. We gave Mum 2 cards, one from me and my brother and a present from me. The present was a house made out of felts and drew it on paper. Then my Dad bought my Mum some new jandals.
About quarter past 2 my Mum, my Dad and my Granddad watched me play a game and my brother do his athletics. Then we got home and we saw Uncle Dave and Neemasi (from London) and saw Saira Masi already at our house. Then our Grandmother and Granddad arrived at our house.
Then I had a shower and I was the first person to do the icing for Mum's cake and before that my brother and my Dad got dinner for all of us. Me and my brother had McDonalds and my Mum and Dad
had some dinner from the Canton Cafe.

Diwali 2012
Diwali is the Hindu festival of light. It is normally in late October and early November (depends on the Indian calendar, which is different from our normal calendar year). The celebration lasts for 5 days.
The first day of Diwali is Dhanteras and this is the day when you put little lamps called divas on your rangoli pattern by your house if you like to but we had a rangoli plate.
The third day of Diwali is Diwali. Mum let me wear my special shirt on. On Diwali we had dinner at Hu Ba and Dada's house (my Grandma and my Grandpa). We had a vegetarian dinner, we had rice, mutto (chilled, Indian spiced yoghurt soup), seero (Indian sweet semolina dessert) and papadams (one of India's flat breads).
The fourth day of Diwali is the Indian New Year, and we say "Saal Mubarak" to our family and friends, which means Happy New Year. Indians believe its good luck to eat fish on New Years Day. So Mum made us butter fish and some delicious naan bread (another kind of Indian flat bread).
The last day of Diwali is Bhai Beej, it's a special day for brothers and sisters. We had Bhai Beej with our cousins (Shay and Jiya). On that day we had rice, dhal, rotis and seero. Everybody else had some vegetable saak (Indian spiced stir fry).
I like celebrating Diwali with my family.

Dad and Pt Chev Ba and Dada came to the matinee on Weds afternoon. Our production was based on countries from the Olympics. I had so much fun, and so did Raneel.
